On the 28th September, Chevron Corporation announced that its Board of Directors elected Michael K. Wirth, chairman of the board and chief executive officer, effective 1st February 2018. Wirth joined Chevron in 1982 as a design engineer. Since that time, he advanced through a number of engineering, construction and operations positions, proving himself a leader ideally suited to lead Chevron.
