About the Female CEO of the Year Awards
CEO Monthly is happy to announce the return of the Female CEO of the Year Awards. Following a successful launch in 2022, this highly anticipated awards programme spotlights the best in Female CEO leadership.
2023 is a landmark year where for the first time more than 10% of the Fortune 500 CEOs are women. Progress is happening within the leadership structure for gender equality. Some industries have this equality to a greater extent, but these figures prove that C-Suite leadership is transforming. Now is the perfect time to celebrate these individuals. Recognition in an international awards programme is a fantastic method to showcase the many successes of the Female CEO.
Worldwide, there is an imbalance in the number of Female CEOs. Often overlooked for leadership roles, women face many challenges before they are promoted to the CEO position. Gender stereotypes are but a few hurdles the Female CEO must overcome. Attitudes towards women and female leadership also prevent women from taking a C-Suite role. These opinions have been changing over recent years, but experts agree that there is still work needed in this area. A Female CEO over her career has experienced and overcome many different challenges than her male counterpart. Rewarding these hardworking women, who are often trailblazers in their industry, is a proud accomplishment for CEO Monthly.
Despite the inequality in CEO leadership, industry experts agree that a female-ran organisation has many benefits. Diversity is a notable example of these advantages. Other improvements include fairer leadership decisions and better female recruitment. Research also shows there is a higher proportion of women in leadership roles when they are managed by a Female CEO. So why shouldn’t the Female CEO be congratulated for her hard work? She is often revolutionising her company and deserves to be applauded for her achievements. The Female CEO of the Year Awards 2023 is the perfect platform to highlight and celebrate these individuals.
As in each of our award programmes, the Female CEO of the Year Awards 2023 welcomes third-party and self-nominations. Our process also uses CEO Monthly’s in-house research team to analyse and assess potential awardees on the bases of merit and quality, regardless of company size or location. As a merit-based programme, we can state that all nominees are judged objectively and that multiple votes are not needed for an individual to be successful. So, if you know of a female CEO that you think deserves to be recognised for her accomplishments, please do not hesitate to submit a nomination.
The Female CEO of the Year Awards 2023 are an excellent method to display female leadership. CEO Monthly is honoured to be able to appreciate these industrious women who have often battled throughout their careers. This is why CEO Monthly is proud to take the time to celebrate these women. The Female CEO of the Year Awards 2023 will shine a light on female leadership and provide each awardee with the recognition she rightly deserves.
Methodology

Researching our nominees
The CEO Monthly team work ardently to identify great business leaders, driving many of the nominations themselves. We also encourage external nominations via the subscribers of the magazine, online visitors, social media followers, clients and wider circulation. Nominating parties are invited to put forward either CEOs of third-party businesses whom they hold in high regard, or the CEO of the business which they are a part of.

Shortlisting our nominees
All nominees are formally requested to accept their nomination. Should any firm or individual rather decline at this point, they are simply taken out of the running. Those formally accepting are given the opportunity to submit additional materials in support of their nomination. Although there is no obligation to complete and supply material, we have found that many nominees value this stage, in the process, as much as our research team do.

Evaluating nominees
Our dedicated research team will assess all information presented to them. The team gather information independently from a variety of publicly accessible sources, which are assessed alongside any material supplied by a nominating party or the nominee themselves. The research team casts their final judgment, based on various criteria such as: business performance whilst the CEO has been in the position, any dramatic or positive change within the business since the CEO took the helm, feedback from any stakeholders during this time and any new innovations within the timeframe.

Our lucky winners
Once winners are selected, they are personally notified before any public announcement is made, allowing time for any communications throughout the wider business and the coordination of marketing strategies. Unfortunately, not everyone can be a winner; however, all who take part are encouraged to come back next year. Once the press embargo is lifted, details of our award winners will be made public via the website, award winners’ magazine and subscriber newsletter.

Share the exciting news
We are prepared to offer a range of promotional packages and items to winners in the Global CEO Excellence Awards, which vary from inclusion in the free-of-charge winners’ directory, to trophies, content in our magazine and on our website.
We encourage all winners to publicly announce their win independently in order to gain maximum exposure for them personally and for their business. Announcements via company websites, social media, via publicly released press releases, and through local and national press are all great ways of maximising the exposure which can be gained from such a great achievement. If you have need of further advice, on how to publicise your win, please feel free to get in touch. We are happy to assist our clients with their needs.
The Nomination Team can assist with answering any queries that you have regarding a nomination, or the process involved in taking part in one of our award programmes.
Please get in touch with us via email or over the phone if you have any questions - we are happy to help!
