VisitArran

Since 2012, Sheila Gilmore has driven VisitArran to be one of the leading DMOs in Europe. The not-for-profit organisation represents the beautiful Isle of Arran, off Scotland’s West Coast, and has won many accolades. She has been listed as one of the Top 100 Women in Tourism on four occasions for her work promoting Arran, and striving to improve the visitor offering in unique and varied ways. Sheila is active on many strategic groups, and is Chair of Arran Geopark, which was inscribed as a UNESCO Global Geopark in April 2025; a tremendous accolade for the wider island community.
