<p>After years as Senior Vice President at Siemens and Atos Ulrich Ahle took the chance to become founding members and CEO of the FIWARE Foundation end of 2016. The FIWARE technology was already born at that time out of a PPP of the European Commission and several European companies. Today the FIWARE ecosystem provides hundreds of Smart Solutions in different verticals based on FIWARE open source software and standard architectures as well as standard APIs and data models. In the vertical of Smart Cities FIWARE is the world leading open source technology deployed on all continents of the world.</p>
