Since its establishment, ENVI – PAK has been providing separate waste collection, recovery and recycling, and Hana has remained with it for almost two decades, believing strongly in its work and being devoted and driven towards its cause. During the 20 years that Hana has been at the company, it has gone through development that was defined mainly by changing legislation. For this reason, the company transformed and expanded, and specialised departments were added, which are an integral part of the business today. Hana tells us, “As the company grew, so did my responsibilities and the need to deal with challenges connected with interpersonal relationships. This cannot be achieved without an understanding and humane approach. Throughout this process, I used management knowledge, but it was nevertheless an opportunity for my own professional and personal growth. Despite the natural differences, the management must be a strong team that cooperates and achieves results, and I am extremely glad that it is also my credit.” It is with values of professionalism, accountability, transparency, continuity, expertise, and reliability that ENVI – PAK is able to thrive. Through sorted waste collection, it promotes a cleaner Slovakia, encouraging and educating the general public about sorted waste collection and raising awareness of environmental protection through posters, radio, events, and online via educational videos and social media. In cooperation with municipalities and manufacturers, ENVI – PAK’s work results in a cleaner environment. In 2016, the Ministry of the Environment of the Slovak Republic granted ENVI – PAK an authorisation for the activity of producer responsibility organisation (PRO) for packaging. It is the longest running PRO in Slovakia, and it therefore has the most practical experience and know-how which draws on many years of international experience with the management of extended producer responsibility systems. It is up to us whether we look at waste with contempt, as something we want to get rid of, or as an opportunity it gives us to use secondary raw materials. “I continue to see my future in ENVI – PAK, because it is work with meaning.
