Thankfully, Serenna Maclachlan, CEO of SLO Recovery Centre (SLO), is determined to shine as a beacon of hope for anyone needing help. We explore how Serenna achieved the ‘Most Influential Addiction Recovery CEO 2023 - Greater Sacramento’ award, and how such an inspirational woman deploys her expertise and compassion, all in an effort to change her patients’ lives for the better. After adopting the role of CEO in November of 2022, Serenna immediately began applying her incredible understanding of the world of psychology and addiction. Serenna’s genuine love for helping people, both with addiction and mental health conditions, truly shines through the meticulous thought that goes into each program. No matter the patient, there is a solution in Serenna’s eyes, and this mindset that’s truly admirable to witness in action. In her experience, Serenna has noticed that the mind can’t possibly heal unless both addiction and mental health are treated together. Her solutions focus on both elements to maximise the success of recovery, and her methods have already helped a wide array of patients. One previous patient expressed how “SLO saved my life. The staff at SLO actually care about you and your success in your recovery. The counselors are great. If you really want to get clean, I absolutely recommend this place”, a testament that lends to SLO’s overwhelmingly positive impact. Of course, what really adds to SLO’s innovative treatment methods has to be the staff that Serenna oversees.
